Join Regina Baker, creator and author of Backroads & Pine Trees for a social 4 mile miex road + trail run starting in Gowanus and going through Park Slope to Prospect Park. We’ll discuss basic trail running tips, the best areas for trail running outside of New York City, all whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery of Prospect Park. All paces welcome!
Afterwards join in on the evening schedule of climbing talks, a competition and a party!

The Run Club is open to participants of all running abilities but will maintain a 10:00-11:00/mile pace or slower for the average runner.

Join the NY chapter of Surfrider Foundation for a beach cleanup in Rockaway! Trash swept in from the ocean and scraps left over from beach goers tend to collect on this beautiful spot. Gloves and bags will be provided on site. After the cleanup we will hang out on the beach and then head over to the Rockaway Beach Surf Club for the film.
DETAILS:
All ages are welcome, but children need to be accompanies by an adult.
Notes for attendees: Bring shoes appropriate for the sand and gloves if you have them handy (gloves will be distributed on the site if you don't). Don't forget sunscreen! Please bring any water/food you might need or visit the nearby concession stands. Public restrooms will be open on the boardwalk.
